About the Role
PHD Veterinary Services is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Equine Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, hands-on position in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong equine handling experience, the ability to work independently in the field, and a passion for delivering exceptional care to both horses and clients.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years hands-on horse experience
Ability to jog horses safely and confidently
Valid driver's license with ability to drive a truck and trailer
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
Must be reliable, adaptable, and work well in a team environment
Strong communication skills with clients and veterinarians
Willing to assisting with:
Lameness and performance evaluations
Ambulatory calls
Emergency care and field procedures
Routine veterinary procedures (dentals, vaccines, etc.)
Willingness to work variable hours depending on ambulatory schedule
